Why I started New Wave Consultancy, what drives us every day, and the promise I make to every family who walks through our doors.
Why I started New Wave Consultancy, what drives us every day, and the promise I make to every family who walks through our doors.
I started New Wave Consultancy in 2013 with a single, deeply personal conviction: that a student's dream of becoming a doctor should not be determined by the number of available government MBBS seats in India — or by a family's ability to pay ₹80–1.5 Crore in private college capitation fees.
I had seen too many bright, hardworking students — students who had studied for years, who had cleared NEET, who had every quality needed to become a fine physician — simply give up. Not because they lacked ability. Not because they lacked dedication. But because the system had run out of affordable seats for them.
Every student who has cleared NEET deserves a real path to their medical degree. Our job is to make sure that path is safe, affordable, and supported every step of the way.
— Founder, New Wave ConsultancyThat conviction led me to explore what medical education options existed beyond India's borders. I travelled to Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, the Philippines, Uzbekistan, and later Central America — not as a tourist, but as a father evaluating universities as if my own child were going to study there. I walked the campus. I slept in the hostel rooms. I ate the food. I sat in the lectures. I met the professors. I talked to Indian students already enrolled. I came back and reported honestly what I had found.
That process — of personally visiting and vetting every university before recommending it — became the founding principle of New Wave. It remains our practice to this day. Every counsellor who joins our team makes that journey. We do not recommend what we have not seen.
Over the past decade, we have placed over 1,000 students in NMC-recognised medical universities across five countries. I have watched them graduate. I have seen them sit for FMGE examinations. I have received photographs of them in their white coats. Nothing I have done in my professional life has given me greater satisfaction than that.
But I also want to be honest with you about the challenges. Studying MBBS abroad is not an easy path. You will be far from home. You will miss festivals and family. You will have to navigate a new language, a new climate, a new culture. The first few months can be hard. That is why we do not simply arrange your admission and then disappear. Our team remains available to every student we place — for the entire 5 to 6 years of their MBBS. Not as a formality, but as a genuine commitment.
We have turned away students when we genuinely believed no option was right for them. That is the kind of consultancy we chose to be — and it is the reason 1000+ families have trusted us with the most important decision of their child's life.
— Founder, New Wave ConsultancyI want to speak directly to the parents reading this. I understand the weight of this decision. You are considering sending your child — perhaps for the first time — to a country thousands of kilometres away, in some cases to a place you have never heard of, trusting that they will be safe, that the university is legitimate, that your investment is protected. That trust is something we do not take lightly. Ever.
Our team will never recommend a university we have not visited. We will never hide a cost. We will never push you toward an option that benefits us rather than your child. If no option is right for your student's profile, we will tell you that honestly — and suggest you wait for the next intake or explore other avenues. We have done this. We will continue to do this.
The future of medicine in India is being shaped right now — by thousands of young doctors studying hard in Bishkek, Tbilisi, Cebu, and Tashkent, who will return to serve their communities with the skills, the empathy, and the perspective that only comes from completing a world-class medical education. New Wave is proud to be part of that story.
If you have any questions — about a specific university, a specific country, your child's eligibility, or simply whether this path is right for your family — please call us, WhatsApp us, or walk into either of our offices. We will give you an honest answer, not a sales pitch.
The future begins here. We look forward to being part of yours.
Everything in writing. No surprise charges. No hidden agendas. You know exactly what you're getting and what it costs before you sign anything.
We recommend what's right for the student — not what earns us more. We've turned away business rather than place students in the wrong university.
Only NMC-approved, personally-visited universities. Only counsellors who have done the ground work. Only processes that have proven to work for hundreds of students.
Our relationship doesn't end at admission. From airport pickup to FMGE prep to annual renewal guidance — we're there for the full 5–6 year journey.
These are not marketing claims. These are commitments the founder personally stands behind.
Every university we recommend has been visited in person by a New Wave team member. We have seen what you will see — and we only send you where we'd send our own family.
You will receive a written breakdown of all costs before paying anything. The quote you receive is the amount you pay — not a penny more.
If any university we recommend loses NMC recognition, we will immediately inform you and work to find a transfer option — at no additional service cost to you.
From the day you enroll to the day you complete your MBBS, the New Wave team remains reachable — for renewals, emergencies, guidance, and support. No additional charge.
If a student's profile is genuinely not suitable for any of our partner universities, we will say so — honestly — rather than take their money and set them up for difficulties abroad.
We don't just get you admitted — we help prepare you for the FMGE/NEXT screening examination throughout your MBBS so you can practice in India when you return.
Visit our Hyderabad or Vijayawada office for a free, face-to-face counselling session. No pressure. No commitment. Just honest guidance.
